This Degree follows logically on from the Third Degree. To participate as one of these expert and worthy brothers, the Secret Master is exhorted to get Knowledge, to get Wisdom, and above all, to get Understanding. This degree teaches us about the burdens and responsibilities of duty, and the lessons of secrecy, silence, and discretion.
