Region 5 News | Earl of Euston Chapter Enthronement

Monday 12th May 2025 was an important evening for the Earl of Euston Sovereign Chapter which meets at Tusmore in the leafy eastern suburbs of Adelaide. The enthronement of a new Sovereign is always an important and moving event, and this year a first time Sovereign was enthroned, signalling a bright future for the Chapter. With great experience across our broader Fraternity Ill. Bro. John Braithwaite 30o became its latest leader, stretching back to the beginning of the 20th Century and following in the footsteps of Sir Samuel Way. He was placed into the chair with dignity and aplomb by the Regional Recorder Em. Bro. Leighton Jacques 32o OoM. The ceremony was conducted in the warm presence of several visitors, including the Regional Commander M. Ill. Bro. Andrew Wilson 33o, District Commander V. Ill. Bro. Bill McBride 33o the District Recorder Em. Bro. Matthew Mann 31o OoM and V. Ill. Bro. Joe Lamarca 33o.  Visitors present represented the beautiful tapestry of Chapters and associated 18th degree ritual across the Region including Universal, English and Australian. The refectory was an exemplification of the strong bonds in our Rite, Region and District, with several eloquent toasts and responses, reconfirming the bonds of friendship with all those present.
